Overview
These release notes summarize the release of a new product addition to the SWARM platform: AVA the Agrifood Virtual Advisor. AVA has been released to the SWARM Community platform and is accessible to all users. AVA replaces the old Home page and is visible immediately after logging into the platform. AVA has a range of capabilities to assist users, including the ability to summarize information, translate, and provide insights on agrifood. In particular, she is an expert on identifying, documenting, and solving challenges. Powered by SWARM and OpenAI, AVA is private and secure, offering enterprise-class generative AI capabilities.
Key Features
AVA serves as a knowledgeable companion, providing insights into SWARM-specific terminology and engaging discussions on Agrifood terms. Her multimedia capabilities evolve from pre-recorded video snippets to adaptable audio/video features, ensuring a seamless user experience.
The SWARM AVA frontend optimizes chat interaction, simplifying communication, while users can effortlessly schedule meetings through Calendly. Additionally, AVA sets benchmarks against industry standards, driving continuous improvement within the community.
Users can interact with AVA through open ended text input conversations, and she will in return provide users with answers or ask clarifying questions to help the user with their particular challenge.
Users can upload documents using the attachment button and ask AVA to search, analyze, or summarize uploaded documents.
The “Explore Challenge” button can be toggled on to tell AVA that the user would like to do a deep dive into a specific challenge. This toggle tells AVA you want to discuss your challenge, rather than asking more general questions.
AVA is multilingual - she can communicate with users in several different languages by selecting the AVA Language dropdown on the Home page.
User conversations with AVA are saved - users can view past conversations, resume prior conversations, or delete them if they are no longer wanted or needed.
How-to-Use
AVA can be used simply by logging into the SWARM Community platform at https://community.swarmeng.net and then navigating to the Home page. If you’re a new user, you’ll be sent to the Home page by default.
From the Home page, users can watch an intro video from AVA, input text to ask questions or provide answers, and upload documents for AVA to analyze.
